The Yarn Yard was the product of a lifetime of involvement in textiles – dressmaking, tailoring, patchwork, quilting and knitting – and a broken ankle caused by falling in the garden in Summer 2006. Ironically the bone refused to “knit” and a lengthy rehabilitation period gave ample opportunity to experiment with textiles in a new way.
