club subscriptions

The Club uses the Clan yarn base which is exclusive to The Yarn Yard.
It's a 100% merino superwash yarn and is an 8 ply sock-weight, similar to some European yarns in construction.
It dyes like a dream and this enables me to create everything from pastel shades to fantastically deep, saturated colours.
The skeins weigh 65g and offer 210m so you can see it's a little bit heavier that a typical 100g/420m yarn but there's not much in it.
The yarn is smooth a little like a cotton yarn would be, with a wonderful sheen and it has great stitch definition for textural patterns such as those by Yarnissima or the glove patterns by Laris Designs.
I have quite deliberately specified 65g skeins for this yarn because it means that colourwork becomes much more possible without the need to invest in a lot of 100g skeins to build a colour palette.
The Club parcels work on a rotation.
Month One - Two matching skeins of semisolid or solid yarn.
Month Two - Two matching skeins of variegated yarn.
Month Three - Two different skeins of semi solid or solid yarn.
So, months one and two could be for socks or a shoulder shawl or gloves.
Month three is intended for colourwork (or small person things) and I will make sure that there is a good colourwork "partnership" in the pair which I design.
The Club is available by monthly or annual subscription (12 months for the price of eleven) and this works as a payment made by debit or credit card using the Worldpay system.
Sign up at any time and receive your first parcel in the month FOLLOWING your payment. So if you join in January, your first yarn is sent in February.

In addition, if you prefer to try the Club for a month then you may join using the one-month option below. This is also useful if you join in the first couple of days of the month and you would like to be included for that month rather than waiting for the next one. If this applies to you, please email and I can confirm that I can fit you in as an extra for that month.
The one month option looks cheaper, but it works out the same because postage is added on afterwards instead of it being an inclusive price.
